Leave a Legacy

Congregation Temple Beth El, Tacoma, WA, is dedicated to the continuing development of a meaningful, dynamic, and vibrant expression of Judaism for ourselves, for our children, and for the community at large.

Congregation Temple Beth El serves as a center of Reform Judaism for the greater Puget Sound area by promoting Jewish religious and intellectual life throughout the life cycles of its members.

Congregation Temple Beth El will grow by having a spiritual, welcoming congregational environment within attractive and inviting facilities.

Congregation Temple Beth El places the highest value in the idea that all Jews are welcome to affiliate with our congregation. We strongly emphasize that financial circumstances should never keep a Jew from participating in synagogue life.

Congregation Temple Beth El has a special concern for the many different kinds of families in which Jews find themselves.  Temple Beth El is open and warmly welcoming to all Jews, recognizing that each and every one of us is created betzelm elohim, in the image of God.

Jews have always looked toward improving the future for themselves, their families, their community, and for all humankind. This forward-looking theme is rooted in the rich history of our tradition.  Our Temple members have inherited these traditions from our forefathers and mothers from locations around the world.  Temple Beth El sees itself as a vibrant blend of many Jewish traditions, and we celebrate together our differences as well as our common heritage.

The Temple Beth El Legacy Endowment Fund is designed to assist our congregation to meet the challenges of its future. It will provide the very important supplemental funding to operate the synagogue, maintain our physical plant, provide stability for clergy and other staff leadership, support our religious school  activities, programming, and program research and development.

We can only presume that the next 50 years of Temple Beth El's history will be as exciting and challenging as its first 50 years. The Temple Beth El Legacy Endowment Fund will provide a firm footing for our Jewish futures.
